The Sounds of Brazil with The Gabriel Santiago Quintet Cover

Guitarist, composer, and arranger Gabriel Santiago brings his powerful new project “Ritmos do Brasil” to Doc’s stage, capturing the soul of Brazilian music through deep grooves, lush harmonies, and vibrant modern storytelling. Hailed by JazzTimes as a “young master of both electric and acoustic guitar,” Santiago is an ASCAP Award-winning composer with 14 albums to his name and an international career bridging jazz, classical, and Brazilian traditions. A native of Bahia, Brazil, his original compositions blend sophistication with raw emotion, channeling influences from Baden Powell to Pat Metheny while crafting a sound that is unmistakably his own. For this special performance, Gabriel leads a world-class quintet featuring Gisele Duque (vocals), Rique Pantoja (piano & keyboard), Anthony McKinney (bass), and Adriano Santos (drums). The program highlights Santiago’s original compositions alongside Brazilian classics, with each piece offering a fresh perspective on tradition, filtered through Gabriel’s distinct compositional voice. Our kitchen and bar will be open, serving up chef-crafted dishes and handcrafted cocktails to make your night complete. Come hungry, the food’s as good as the music! See you at the show!
